What is RTWP?

RTWP stands for Received Total Wideband Power. It is a measurement parameter used in cellular networks, particularly in the context of UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) and WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) technologies. RTWP refers to the total received power within a specific frequency band.

In UMTS/WCDMA networks, multiple users share the same frequency band, and the base station needs to measure the total power received from all users within that band. The RTWP measurement helps assess the overall power level in the downlink (from the base station to the mobile device) and is utilized for network optimization and interference management purposes.
